Slip Resistance Testing
SSI provides in-field slip resistance testing. Our professionally certified floor safety specialists test according to the American National Standard (ANSI) A326.3, “Test Method for Measuring Dynamic Coefficient of Friction of Hard Surface Flooring Materials.” SSI uses the BOT-3000E tribometer, the only device approved for use with ANSI A326.3 along with our STEP application to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Traction Enhancing Treatments
When DCOF measurements fall below the ANSI A326.3 action limit threshold, then there is an unacceptable level of slip resistance potential. SSI uses Traction Enhancing Treatments which are formulated to BOOST the coefficient of friction of any hard surfaced flooring. All treatments have a non-invasive installation process and are installed by certified floor safety specialists.
